We were skeptical when we bought this to clean around our home. Pleasantly surprised, we would recommend to buy this but not at full price. Does heat up good and hot, steam comes out and rarely water may drip if you have not tightened the top completely. Depending on the size of your job and your patience you may or may not find this unit useful for your needs. I love to use it daily at least once to clean over the kitchen area, shoes and bags/purses that have been outside on public buses / out and about. Works great on bathroom mirror (kids constantly splattering on that daily, now I can clean it up daily with ease)and love to use on windows / [atio door where kids dirty up quickly. Always a streak free cleaning. If you have a larger job patience is a must. Although it does hold steam for a good 6 minutes or so, you will then need to unplug it, wait a good 5 minutes before even attempting to open the top (even then you may get spattered with hot water) slowly to let cooling progress a little quicker. Wait another 5 minutes before attempting to pour more water inside otherwise you will get splashed and steamed from that as well. Once you can get it refilled you must wait about 4 more minutes to heat up again. For me this has not been a problem, I just go off and do something else.

I compared this machine to the comparable euro steam shark and found this one to have noticeably hotter steam. Hotter steam equals easier, more effective cleaning/disinfection, and it costed $40.00 less . I also tried a similar bissel, but it was only a wet vac. This arrived as/when it was supposed to. I would buy it again. I love this machine.
