I purchased this model at Home Depot on 1/14 (Special Buy).
Upon installing the hose I discovered that it narrows down
to about 1 3/4 inches after the intake connector. Not only
is this a performance bottleneck it hinders the pickup of
bulkier items. The 15 year old Ridgid 5 gal unit it is
replacing had the fullsize hoses on it. I moved them over
to this one and this was a big improvement. Hopefully the
one sold here has fullsize hoses. A vacuum of this size
should never have such a small hose. Maybe the factory made
a mistake and this is why some of these are getting dumped
for $50 at HD.

I find this to be one of the best wet/dry vacs (I have had 2 others) I have ever used. My only suggestion is that it may be too large for household use.
