this should be a 4.5 rating, but there is no such rating. this device works amazing, much better than other portable vapes. much better is actually an understatement, this thing makes those others seem like they don't work. i'd say i got about 100 times as much vape out of this than the same amount in a magic flight launch box or a vape genie. if you used those, this thing will make you poop yourself from how well it works. like, wow, does this thing hit hard.
the only negative is that it has a strong electronic smell when you first get it. charge it and run it through a series of cycles until it dies at the highest temp, and this will take care of a good amount of the smell/taste. after that, some use of the device will get rid of the taste. this is the reason for the 4.5 comment.
if you want something portable that can also kick your ass, then this is for you. other portables work, but after you've tried this thing you'll know that this is in a whole other league. just careful if you use it at work, the smell is still very popcorny (so not the problem, no one ever suspects the smell), but you may find yourself a bit incapacitated.
This came in black, not silver as pictured. I liked black better.
I've had this product for about a week. It works really well. I get much much more out of my herb. One pack of the tube-bowl is all I need. It's true you have to use it for a while to figure out the best way to get hits, but the learning curve isn't ridiculous.
With regard to portability, I'd prefer if I didn't have to carry around little glass tubes (the tubes aren't overly fragile though, so not a big deal). I'd love to see a unit have everything all-in-one WITH an herb compartment (so I don't have to carry a separate container). This is why I gave it a 4, and because the glass tubes are a real pain to clean.
It does make a sound, however. A REALLY high-pitched sound, almost like a dog whistle. It's not loud or absolutely irritating, it's somewhat low and the high pitch aids in tolerance of it. The sound only comes on every few minutes and lasts maybe 20 seconds; you might not even notice it depending on your hearing ability. This is not a major fault by any means but I haven't heard of this elsewhere.
I'd definitely recommend this to someone looking to vape on the go.
